[...] The learnings are exercised in Kumite, a friendly fight. This way i.e. children learn to respect the Kumite partner instead of having the win as primary goal. After several exercises the children improve locomotion and coordination. Adults remain active and learn to lead and treat others.

The name Shiny Lion is derived from these lesson contents. The lion, taking the role of the protector in the Japanese mythology which can be found at the entrance of each temple, eradiates positive strength. This strength is expressed by the light and aimed by the InyoRyuKarate. The teachers take over the role of a guide by being an example of positive attitudes and strength handed over to their students. True strength isn't defined by physical strength but as the ability to be honest and humble.
